When I was younger I was diagnosed with ADHD. I did not find this out until recently, I do remember going to a bunch of different doctors where they tested me on things. However I did not know what they diagnosed me with.
I talked to my mom recently about how I have self diagnosed myself with ADHD. She then confirmed that I had been diagnosed when I was little. I don’t know if they recommended prescription or what their recommendation was. I do know that I did not take medication for this, and was not guided on the help I would need.

This explains a lot of the issues I have now been facing as a stay at home wife/mother. For instance, getting the house clean and keeping it clean is a major issue. I procrastinate, get distracted easily, get bored, hard time focusing, and I forget a lot. So I am working on trying to figure out tips to help me get things done. As I figure things out, I’ll do my best to remember to post on here to share. In hopes that I will be able to help someone else with ADHD.
One thing I do know that does help is to grab a bag or box and just go through each room and put things that don’t belong in that room in the box/bag. After going through each room put the things that are in the bag/box up in the rooms they belong in.
However this can become problematic I feel too. Though the first part is easy for me. I find it difficult to put the things in the box back up.

I feel the reason for this being I grab something out of the bag and say it belongs to the bathroom and go put it up. Then I get something that belongs into a bedroom and have to go put it up. Then pick something that goes into the living room, put it up. Oh, look this goes in the bathroom… I was just in the bathroom. Then I start to feel overwhelmed because putting the stuff up is taking longer than it needs to be.
So to help with this, you can try grabbing a box for each room and designate a box for each room. Then go through each room and put the respective items in the designated box for the room it belongs in. This will help save time and steps for when you start to put things away.
